Welcome back Gift Basket Fans!
Congratulations to Nikki Hatfield Wilson (posted at September 1, 2011 at 12:21 pm) and Lucy (posted at August 26, 2011 at 6:08 pm)! Please send your full names and address to me at amariscal@1800flowers.com and I can send over your advanced Shades of Autumn Gift Basket! As always, thank you to everyone for participating and don’t forget to tell your friends to join us on Facebook.
This week is going to be a hectic one for me since it will be spent attending family parties, running lots of errands, and packing and moving out of my apartment, which I think we can all agree that moving is the worst. I tried to pack early, I really did! But then you look around your place and realize that you never know when you’re going to want to wear a certain shirt, and sure all of the random knick-knacks on top of my dresser may look unimportant, but what if I needed something from there? Also I have an entire library of books that take too much time to fit perfectly in several extra taped boxes. I should also mention that I’m a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to packing, so that usually gets in the way.
The family parties for Labor Day will be a good distraction, and I always look forward to other people cooking for me, especially my grandma’s barbeque. I know that I’ve talked about BBQ more than you would expect a blog about gift baskets to ever mention it, but as much as I hate packing is how much I love BBQ. If you’re having a Labor Day party this weekend or just feel like grilling outside, we still have lots of great BBQ sauce and party gear in our Summer gifts collection which will be around for just a little bit longer while supplies last! I’ve talked about the Jim Beam® and Budweiser® sauces before in previous posts, so feel free to check back if you missed a blog or need any good ideas for a summer party. My dad got around to using one of his new Budweiser® grilling sauce flavors about two weeks ago and loved it. I’m definitely looking forward to some good grilling this weekend to take away the pain of packing.
We’re taking a little “vacation”, if you will, away from giveaways this week, because we’ve got something BIG in works going on for very, very soon! So please be sure to keep checking back for when I can finally tell you all about it.
What will all of you be doing for this Labor Day weekend? Do you have any topics you would like to see covered in future blog postings? Let me know in the comments section!
