Welcome Back Basket Fans!
I loved reading about all of your favorite decorations and I’m sure that everyone’s house will be perfectly festive this month! The decoration process at my house has now spanned to over the week and usually when we’re all finally home and not too tired (also before any good TV shows start), so the one day it typically takes us to decorate the tree is now going on five. I won’t wait that long to announce the winners though! Congratulations to Dorinna (posted December 2, 2011 at 9:08 am), Kathy S. (posted December 8, 2011 at 12:23 pm), Barbara (posted December 1, 2011 at 4:22 pm), Edwina (posted December 8, 2011 at 1:57 pm), and Roger Simmons (posted December 1, 2011 at 10:29 pm)!! Email your information to amariscal@1800flowers.com and we’ll get your Regal Drum Gift Tower to you right away! Back to business!
This month is going by too quickly for me. It probably has a lot to do with working for a gifting company, where holidays are the busiest times for us, but I think the holidays are generally really busy for everyone no matter what. There’s always so much to do, with work, cleaning, decorations, scheduling holiday events and functions, cooking, baking, trying to get in all the traditional holiday activities that only happen once a year, and the dreaded holiday shopping list to finish. I try to write up a list of the people who I need to get presents for, things I know they want, things I think they’d want, and then it all becomes a big mess that I sometimes lose and then have to wing it. I also have to double up gifts in December because somehow my parents have their birthdays in the same week, so that’s another set of gifts to plan and purchase.
This is why I will always resort to food gifts as my number one go-to. You can really never go wrong with a food gift, and you know it will always go to use (who is going to turn down delicious chocolates or goodies?) My pick for the week is our 1800baskets.com exclusive gift basket, the Comfort & Joy Sweet Treats Gift Basket! It has a great mix of salty, sweet, and warm, so it’s bound to have something for everyone to enjoy. Inside you’ll find cookies, honey wheat pretzels, caramels, crackers, butter toffee popcorn from The Popcorn Factory, biscuits, a peppermint stick, Fannie May® Mint Meltaways® Cocoa, and much more. And it’s all packed in a decorative wood and red tin embossed basket, cute enough to display around the house. This gift basket is perfect for the cold holiday season and will definitely get a lot of use from whoever is lucky enough to get it.
I’ve got more last-minute shopping to do today (and a cake to bake!) so I’ll leave you with another holiday question for next week. In the comments section (1-2 paragraphs), tell me what your favorite gift you’ve ever received was! Five lucky and random winners will receive the Comfort & Joy Sweet Treats Gift Basket next week.
Happy Holidays!
